ADDITIONAL INFORMATION-

Masking:
When he earned his mask, he was still living with his family. They presented him with a crude thing, made of black wood with onyx spikes along the nose and jagged red markings. They seemed disappointed in his earth element, but made the best of it in an attempt to pass him off as intimidating. He wasn't fond of the idea of having his ears cut off, but he knew it was necessary for a Shinlai. However, they did it in a forceful manner and as a result his face is a little scarred under his mask.

He accepted it only so he could replace it later with the current one he wears which was made by Laila's master, Twine. He does not feel the need for a complicated mask because of his horns. However, is very self conscious and tends to comment on the appearance of other Lai. He means well but that in addition to his stubbornness tends to get him into rough spots. As a result of this trait, he keeps his fur very neat and his mask and horns are always polished and clean. His claws are sharpened but trimmed, making them smaller but still as lethal.


After his escape:
He became a Dailian due to the abuse he received in his childhood, but as said in his personality, he doesn't hold Dark Blood ideals against other Shinlai. If someone is in need of help, he will do his best to do so. Their reasons for being a Dark Blood are their own. Still, he has a soft spot for humans since they saved him when he fled.

He ran all the way to Laila's village. It was a small settlement of humans that he stumbled into. In his exhaustion he collapsed right in the center of town, causing miscellaneous reactions. One girl ran out of her home and tried to care for him. Her name was Laila. She helped him regain his strength and took him to her master, Twine. There he spent much time, talking to the girl after her lessons and resting up. (Keep in mind that this is before Selousi met her. Laila has no idea the two are siblings.)

Once he was strong enough, he took his leave and traveled further south into the region of Antel. He dreams of potentially escaping to another continent, away from the dry landscapes of East Rendali. He is too afraid to cross the Oder Sea. Even with his abilities, he doesn't think he can create a large enough land bridge and the concept of resting on a rock in the middle of the ocean is not very appealing to him.


Use of element:
Agate is a plant manipulator through and through. He can create walls, ensnare opponents, and even wrap himself in them to make himself temporary armour. He does this by enhancing the plant life around himself to make it grow at an accelerated rate. When the roots of the plant are large enough, he pulls the plant out of the ground and wraps it around his body. The roots and stems interlacing make a thick padding that protects his body. This protects him for a short time from claws and other cutting attacks as well as insulates him against other elements such as fire due to the liquid inside of the still-living plants.

Since this does do a bit of damage to the land, he tends to opt for escaping over fighting. If he is victorious after using this technique, he'll repair the plants around himself. It is exhausting work but he's much stronger with his element than with physical battle. If he loses, he'll create a plant wall or other distraction in order to flee which is helping the plant-life rather than hurting it. He has a deep respect of nature and feels pained when the land is hurt.


Current life:
He dwells along the coast of West Rendali which borders the Oder Sea. He essentially paces the coastline, traveling up and down it. However, he makes sure not to go past his old home. In fact he avoids most of that area all together, staying below the border of Kubi the majority of the time. He hunts and lives peacefully, having created a home for himself near Khanti. It is an area made of interwoven, living, grass he manipulated into a hut. The door is made of driftwood found on his travels. Outside he has shells and polished rocks hanging from the door frame which were also found items. Being the type of Lai he is, he likes to make himself look nice so he sometimes adds feathers and other earthy elements to the braid on his mane.
